LEGO® Therapy Club
LEGO® Therapy Club is a welcoming, neuro-affirming space where children aged 6–12 years come together through their love of LEGO®, imagination, and play. In this semi-structured, play-based group, children feel safe to be themselves while building connections, sharing ideas, and growing their social confidence.
Based on the evidence-based research of Dr Dan Le Goff, Clinical Neuropsychologist, LEGO® Therapy allows children to work collaboratively, drawing on their strengths to practice communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills — all while having fun.
Who Is LEGO® Therapy Club For?
Children who may be struggling socially or emotionally
Children who want to build confidence, communication, and teamwork skills
Children who enjoy LEGO® and imaginative play
How It Works
The program begins with an initial 1:1 child session with Annette, lasting 40 minutes. During this session, children are introduced to LEGO® Therapy and receive a social story to support a smooth transition into the group.
Each weekly 45-minute session includes:
Group check-in – Children come together to connect, share, and foster friendships.
Collaborative LEGO builds – Children are assigned rotating roles:
Engineer – holds the instructions
Supplier – provides the bricks
Builder – constructs the model
Children take turns in each role, learning cooperation, turn-taking, problem-solving, and flexible thinking.
Freestyle construction – Children explore creativity and share their creations with the group, building confidence, self-expression, and social skills.
Show and tell – Children celebrate each other’s projects, further strengthening communication and social connection.
Term Overview – Building Together
Each term, LEGO® Therapy Club focuses on a central theme. This term’s theme, “Building Together,” encourages children to:
