Friendship Club.

Friendship Club is a fun, welcoming, and supportive space where children come together to build connection, belonging, self-esteem, and social confidence. This group is especially valuable for children who may be socially anxious, shy, feel alone, or find friendships tricky to navigate at school.

Through team-based activities, cooperative games, and guided social time, children have the opportunity to share experiences, support one another, and celebrate achievements in a safe and nurturing environment.

Who Is Friendship Club For?

  • Children aged approximately 9–13 years (upper primary to early high school)

  • Children who struggle with social confidence or forming friendships

  • Children who feel shy, socially anxious, or isolated

  • Children who would benefit from structured support in navigating social situations

How It Works

Friendship Club is a semi-structured group where children are encouraged to:

  • Take the lead and make decisions within the group

  • Check in with peers, sharing the highs and lows of the week

  • Participate in team-based activities and games designed to practice social skills and cooperation

  • Celebrate achievements and build confidence in expressing themselves

  • Form meaningful friendships in a safe, supportive environment

Each session balances guided activities and open social time, allowing children to explore friendships at their own pace while learning to connect, communicate, and problem-solve with peers.

Benefits of Friendship Club

  • Build social confidence and communication skills

  • Develop empathy, cooperation, and teamwork
